After his 2nd year of college in Manila, he returned home and became a tailor. He met his first love, Inday Bienvenida Sallave, from San Miguel, Iloilo. They were survived by their six children. Panfilo living in Subic City, Zambales is married to Josephine Espiritu of Marikina City, Manila and with their children Jubal, Pia, and Leila. Ma Jesuna is married to John Espinosa from Bugallon, Pangasinan now in Virginia Beach, VA and their two sons Kurt and Keith. Irwin is married to Melissa Mate from Tacloban City, Leyte now in Mandaluyong City, Manila and their two daughters Darla Monica and Macyrne. Jesselyn is married to Hector Moreno of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental now living in Virginia Beach, VA and their two daughters Megan and Jenessa. Jerica is married to Brett Lunstedt of Accord, NY with their daughters Juliana and Angelina. Jessie Bruce is married to Eunice Raganit from Makati City, Manila now living in McKinney, TX, and their only son Adrien. He had called each child one by one to the kitchen and showed them the proper way of cutting vegetables and cooking. All his children know how to use a sewing machine. He emphasized that open communication between parents and children is essential. His children enjoyed meals returning from high school and college where they shared their experiences and requested the next dish to be served. The rice would cake up from the warmth and learning gathering. The daily evening rosary has touched the children's lives. As Pope John Paul II has said, a family that prays together, stays together. Jesus impressed the children saying that the only way of life is college education. He groomed roosters for cockfighting and sold them. He loved playing billiards. He and his wife came to the US in April 1999. He was thrilled celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. His wife passed away on September 17th, 2015. His heart is full of joy as his grandchildren are finishing college and the young ones are doing great in school. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, N Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A resurrection mass will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at St Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, at 10:00 am.
