J.H. Kabler, Confederate veteran and a superannuated member of the Methodist Conference of Virginia, died at his home in Oaklette, Norfolk County, last night at 11:25 o'clock. He was 73 years old and entered the Methodist ministry in 1873. He is survived by his widow; one son, W. Marvin Kabler of Richmond and one brother, Elisha Kabler of Lynchburg. Funeral announcement will be made later. ************************************************************************ The funeral of Rev. J.H. Kabler took place at the Oaklette Methodist Church, Norfolk County, yesterday afternoon and was well attended. The pastor, Rev. E.R. Peerman and Rev. G.W. Jones conducted the services. There were many beautiful flowers. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery and the pallbearers were Revs. J.A. Thomas, T.J. Taylor, R.M. Maxey, R.B. Scott, J.T. Bosman, L.B. Betty.
