Liberty street, died May 14 at her residence after a short illness. A native of Norfolk, daughter of Claude and Mrs. Fannie Alexander Nixon, she was a member of Ebenezer Church of God in Christ where funeral services were conducted May 18 by Elder D. Harvey Dunlap, pastor. Surviving are her husband, Selester Kale; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Hunt, Mrs. Alberta Johnson, Mrs. Essie Mae Gray, and Miss Geneva Smith; two brothers, Robert and Claude Nixon, all of Norfolk. Burial was in Mount Olive Cemetery, with Fitchett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
