Norfolk Virginian Pilot Thursday March 6, 1952
Mrs. Ruth McArdle Kane, 73, widow of Joseph A. Kane and daughter of Peter 
and Emma Shryock McArdle, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 8:55 p.m.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Warren F. Ory, of New Orleans; a son, J. 
Alfred Kane, of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. John Van Ryn, of East Orange, N.J.; 
a brother, John McArdle, of New York, and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Kane was a native of Lexington, Ky. and had been a resident of Norfolk 
52 years, residing at 513 Delaware Avenue.  She was a member of Christ and 
St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
Saturday at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
