Kane, widow of Daniel M. Kane and daughter of the late George and Martha Wallace Bear, died Thursday, July 28, at Newark, N.J. Mrs. Kane was a native of Portsmouth. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Grace Benson, Mrs. Nellie Wright, and Mrs. Eva Dreher, all of Newark, N.J. Remains were brought to Norfolk for interment. Services were conducted at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery yesterday morning at 11 o’clock, with the Rev. E.P. Miner, rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, officiating. The casket was covered with clusters of gladiolus, roses and ferns. The pallbearers were Harry Clegg, George Bear, Jr., Frank Jarvis and A.L. Barrett, all nephews of the deceased.
