Jacksonville, FL - Janet Sailor Kanzig, 54, passed away 12 October 2012 in 
Jacksonville, FL. Jan spent much of her formative years locally attending JEB 
Stuart, Blair Jr. High and graduated from Maury High. She married Terry Kanzig, an 
officer in the US Coast Guard and they lived in various areas of the country while 
Jan pursued a very successful career as an investment broker for many financial 
institutions. She is survived by husband, Terry Kanzig, of Jacksonville, FL, her 
mother and father, Raymond J. Mattes, Jr. and Jocasta C. Mattes of Norfolk, a 
brother, Randy Lyall and wife Maria of Norfolk, a sister, Julie Hume and husband 
Bill, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, a brother, Raymond J. Mattes III and wife Sandy of 
Virginia Beach, a sister, Elizabeth Voetsch and husband Adm. Steve Voetsch, USN 
(Ret.) of Norfolk, a brother, Capt.Algernon Keith, USCG (Ret.) of Norfolk, and a 
host of nieces, nephews and a great-niece. A memorial service will be held on the 
Outer Banks of NC at a later date. The family would like to thank the 
conscientious attention administered by the NE Florida Community Hospice of 
Jacksonville, FL.
