Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 30, 1914

Henry J. Karn died at 3:40 o'clock yesterday morning after a lingering illness. 
He was 46 years old. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Karn and is 
survived by two sisters, Misses Daisy L. and Lillie V. Karn, both of Norfolk and 
a brother, Albert Sidney Karn of Baltimore. The funeral will take place at 2:30 
o'clock this afternoon at the family residence, 1712 Lovitt Avenue. Services 
will be conducted by Rev. C.M. Watson of the First Christian Church. Burial will 
b in Elmwood Cemetery

KARN - On Thursday, January 29, 1914, at 3:40 o'clock a.m., HARRY J. KARN, son 
of the late Joseph H. and Sallie Warren Karn, in the 47th year of his age.
Funeral services at the residence, No. 1712 East Lovitt Avenue, THIS (Friday) 
AFTERNOON at 2:30 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.

The funeral of Harry J. Karn took place at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at 
the residence, 1712 Lovitt Avenue. Services were conducted by Rev. C.M. Watson 
of the First Christian Church. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were J.H. Spivey, Thomas Lawler, Edward Lawler, G.R. Gray, Harry 
Elliott and Howard Hudgins.
