A native of Kaltensondheim, Germany, she was a daughter of Valentin and Mrs. Margareta Redelberger Muller and the widow of Joseph Kaufmann. She lived in Norfolk 55 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Blessed Virgin Sodality, Ave Maria Circle, Daughters of Isabella and the auxiliary of St. Mary's Infant Home. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Margaret E. Kaufmann of Norfolk and Mrs. Charles W. Throckmorton III of Richmond; three sons, Herman J. Kaufmann of Arlington, Julian F. Kaufmann of Norfolk and Army Col. Paul R. Kaufmann of Livonia, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Rosa Hirmer of Wurzburg, Germany; and 10 grandchildren. The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, where the Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will be at 115 88th St., Virginia Beach. ***************************************************************************** At her residence, 115 88th Street, Virginia Beach, Saturday, September 2, 1967 at 4:50 p.m., Mrs. Julia Muller Kaufmann, widow of Joseph Kaufmann, and a daughter of the late Valentin and Mrs. Margareta R. Muller, died in the 81st year of her age. The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a funeral mass today at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends are invited.
