Virginian-Pilot, June 3, 1906
The funeral of [Lizzie Kerns], a white woman, 21 years old, who died at 118 
Church Street early yesterday morning . . . will be buried today. The girl and 
John Henry Kerns, of Norfolk, were married by Rev. John R. McConica of the 
Union Mission on May 26. The girl is said to have been a native of North Dakota.
