Virginian-Pilot May 9, 1903
Mr. George T. Keefe, a well-known and respected resident of Norfolk, passed away 
at the home of his son, Mr. Edward Keefe, 7 Byrd Place, at 7:20 p.m. yesterday in 
the 68th year of his age. Mr. Keefe had been in failing health for some time and 
had but a few weeks ago recovered from a severe spell of sickness but was taken 
with a relapse a few days ago. He had resided in Norfolk all his life. His wife 
preceded him to the grave a few years ago. The deceased is survived by a number of 
children, among them, the Rev. William T. Keefe. The funeral will take place from 
the residence Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
