Virginian-Pilot  September 18, 1933
James P. Keefe, aged 55, husband of Mae Stapleton Keefe, and son of the late John 
and Mary Ellen Keefe, died at his residence, 822 Maury place, yesterday morning at 
11:30 o’clock. Mr. Keefe was a native of Malone, N.Y., and a resident of Norfolk 
for the past 27 years. He was a retired railway engineer. Besides his wife, he is 
survived by two daughters, the Misses Lucile A. and Dorothy M. Keefe; one son, 
James S. Keefe; two sisters, Mrs. E. E. McKillups and Miss Anna Keefe, both of 
Chicago, and a brother, John Keefe, of Minneapolis.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Tuesday morning at 
10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
