She was a native of Norfolk County and the daughter of James and Anna Vaughn Speaks. She lived in Norfolk 24 years. She was a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church, where she served on the missionary circle and taught Sunday school. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Charles M. Keeling; four sons, S. Sgt. Roosvelt Speaks, USA; Sherman Keeling, USN; Charles Keeling Jr. and Robert Keeling; a daughter, Miss Diane Keeling; two sisters, Mrs. Palace Battle and Mrs. Dorothy Lamb; a brother, Robert Speaks; and a grandson. The body was taken to Fitchett's Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at noon Monday in Second Calvary Baptist by the Rev. H.W.B. Walker, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
