Keeling of the 6300 block of Whittier Drive died June 20, 1998, inher residence. Born in Norfolk, she was a former school teacher for Norfolk Public Schools. She was a member and deaconess of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she organized the Mid-Week Bible Study and Prayer Service. She also was a member of the Stewardship Group at the church and Greenhill Farm Civic League. She was the widow of Charles K. Keeling. Survivors include two daughters, Ophelia Brown and her husband, Charles Brown, Lucretia Singleton and her husband, Walter Singleton Jr.; three sisters, Fannie Stancil, Venus Foreman and Mary Artis; three brothers, Carl Lambert Sr., Hubert Lambert and Milton Lambert; four grandchildren, Walter Singleton III, Kenneth Singleton, Jacqueline Brown and Michelle Brown; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Shiloh Baptist Church by Dr. John Foster. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at 2202 Lloyd Drive.
