Virginian Pilot Sunday November 22, 1908

The funeral of the late Geo. C.(James E.) Keeter, who died at his home in Hawthorn 
avenue, Oakdale, near South Norfolk, Friday morning at 11 o'clock, was conducted 
from the residence yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Rev. W.A. Smith, pastor of 
the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, officiated and the interment was in Magnolia 
cemetery.  The deceased was 80 years old and had been a resident of Norfolk county 
many years.  He is survived by two sons, Miles and W.T. Keeter.

Funeral home records and all records in ancestry indicate name in obit should be 
James E. Keeter.
