Keeter, 77, of 2033 Long Pine Road, Broad Bay Colony, the husband of Mrs. Virginia Wilson Keeter and a native of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. died Wednesday morning in his home. He live in Tidewater 50 years and was a retired machinist of Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a Baptist. He was a member of Norview Lions Club and former active volunteer of the old Norfolk County Tanners Creek Fire Department. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Violet K. Sicard of Portsmouth; a son, William T. Keeter of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice K. Williams of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Effie K. Glasgow of Roanoke Rapids; a brother, Charlie Keeter of Roanoke Rapids; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The body was taken to Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, where the family will be tonight from 7 to 9. A funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. Charles Bartholomew of Oaklette United Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Old Dominion Eye Bank through the Norview Lions Club.
