Virginian-Pilot  October 24, 1914
Mrs. Catharine Kelly, widow of John J. Kelly, died yesterday afternoon at 2:40 at 
her residence, 425 West Redgate avenue. She was 71 years old. The funeral services 
will take place from the residence tomorrow morning at 11:30. The interment will 
be private in St. Mary’s cemetery. Rev. T. E. Waters will conduct the services.
Mrs. Kelly, originally a native of England, had lived 66 years in this city, where 
she was well known and highly regarded by many friends and acquaintances. She is 
survived by five daughters, Mrs. T. P. McManus, Misses Mary E., Catharine E., Nora 
A., and Julia L. Kelly; four sons, T. P., W. E., J. J., and L. M. Kelly; and five 
grandchildren.
