Virginian-Pilot  May 6, 1944
James Joseph Kelly, 48, son of the late James J. and Mrs. Catherine Reilly Kelly, 
a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died yesterday morning at 8 o’clock. Surviving him 
are two sisters, Mrs. Rose A. O’Brien and Miss Annie Kelly, of Norfolk. The body 
will be taken from the residence, 1028 East Olney road, to St. Mary’s Catholic 
Church, for funeral services Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in 
St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the residence Sunday night at 
7:30 o’clock.
