Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, June 2, 1999 
Rachel A. Kelly passed into eternal life on May 31, 1999, in Sentara Norfolk
General Hospital.

She was born March 24, 1917, in Norfolk to the late Thomas T. and Flossie A.
Staton. She resided at Norfolk Health Care Center for many years. She was
preceded in death by a daughter, Delores D. Webb and a grandson, Alonzo Roberts.

She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers, Linwood M. Staton and Charles E.
Staton of New York City; a grandson, Stanley Cofield of Norfolk; an aunt, Ida
Mae Lawrence of Scotland Neck, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Janie E. Kelly and
Beulah Kelly of Norfolk; and a host of other nieces, nephews,
great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hale Funeral Home Chapel, Norfolk, with
burial in Calvary Cemetery .
