Norfolk - Joseph E. Kelly Sr., of 234 Walnut St., died Monday in his home.

A native of Suffolk, he was a son of the late Alexander and Mrs. Irene Kelly,
and the husband of Mrs. Ruth Kelly.

He was a member of Male Chorus and Usher Board of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church,
Hicks Memorial Club, and Berkley Men’s League. He was past master of Rising Sun
Masonic Lodge 2.

Surviving, besides his widow, are a son, Air Force S.Sgt. Joseph Kelly Jr., and
three daughters, Miss Jean Kelly and Miss Alma Kelly of Norfolk and Mrs. Shirley
Gibbs of Smithfield.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:15 p.m. in Mt. Lebanon Baptist
Church by the Rev. F. P. Wise. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Grave
Funeral Home in charge.
