Kemp, who died Sunday morning at 2:30 o'clock in Hampton, was conducted from the home of her brother, Mr. F.M. Smith, in Liberty street yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Rev. Mr. Sharp, of Hampton, conducted the services and the interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Kemp had been ill since February, was about 26 years old. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. S.J. Smith, four sisters, Mrs. W.R. Saunders, Miss Georgie Smith, of Berkley; Mrs. G.T. Jennings, of Centreville and Mrs. W.J. Parker, of Park View; six brothers, Messrs. F.M. Smith, O.L Smith, of Berkley; V.L. Smith, W.A. Smith, of South Norfolk, Young Smith of Philadelphia and S.J. Smith, of Park View. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs. W.L. Berkley, W.B. Dougherty, R.L. Cox, Z.E. Keister, J.W. Rogers, S.D. Martin, Eugene Colver and Captain W.J. Luke. Additional Comments: Magnolia Correction - Sister Mary Alice, wife of George Saunders, not W.R. Saunders. Both in same cemetery lot with Clara.
