Kemp, 78, son of the late Peter D. and Mary Gale Kemp, a native of Gloucester County, Va., and for the past 65 years a well known resident of Norfolk, died at 4:10 o'clock this morning at the residence, 4806 Mayflower Road, Colonial Place. He was a member of the Improved Order of Red Men. Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. J. Henry Thumm and Mrs. Joseph B. Ennis; two sons, William L. and George P. Kemp and five grandchildren, Linwood Thumm, Joseph B. Ennis, Jr., Gertrude Ennis, Lois Virginia Kemp and Marion Jane Kemp. Funeral services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.
