Norfolk Journal and Guide, June 27,1942
Final rites for Mrs. Lena Kemp, 72, of 790 Lincoln street, who died in a local 
hospital June 10, were held at Bank Street Baptist Church June 14. She was 
born in Mathews County, VA, and had lived here 50 years. Burial was directed 
by Hale and Company in Calvary Cemetery.
