Virginian-Pilot  April 5, 1922
John P. Kemp, 48 years old, died last night at his home, 225 West Twenty-seventh 
street. He is survived by his wife, three children and two brothers and two 
sisters. He was a native of Richmond and had lived in Norfolk
for the last ten years. The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning at 
the H. D. Oliver funeral apartments, with Father Hannon officiating. Burial will 
be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
