He was a native of Boston, Mass., but made his home in Portsmouth since the close of the Civil War. Mr. Kennedy was a member of Portsmouth Naval Lodge No. 100, A.F. and A.M. The funeral service will take place at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Kennedy residence and at the conclusion the body will be conveyed to Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, where interment will take place. ****************************************************** The funeral of James Kennedy, lately a navy yard watchman, who died last Friday afternoon in his residence at 726 Fourth Street, South Portsmouth, will take place there at 4 o'clock this afternoon. At the conclusion of the service the body will be conveyed to Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk, where interment will take place.
