Ledger-Dispatch, Tues., Jan. 1, 1907

The remains of Mrs. Sallie Kennedy, wife of H.C. Kennedy, of Harrisburg, Pa. 
and daughter of L.A. and the late Sallie Reid Lathrop, of Norfolk, who died in 
Harrisburg Saturday evening, arrived here this morning, accompanied by members 
of the family. The funeral took place at 3 o’clock this afternoon from the 
First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Dr. Joseph Rennie, the pastor, officiating. 
There was a large attendance and a beautiful display of floral tributes. The 
following were the pall-bearers: Barham Jones, Frank Evans, Walter Simcoe, Alex 
Black, James Hughes, Chas Owens, James Spruill, Thos. Blick.
