Kennedy, 619 Graydon Park, was instantly killed yesterday afternoon at 2:15 o’clock within a hundred feet of his home. A new house is being erected near the Kennedy home. Yesterday afternoon little Bernard and several other children were playing around the house and Bernard climbed up on a heavy door frame that was leaning against the house. The heavy frame toppled over, falling on the child and crushing out his life. Death was almost instantaneous. His playmates screamed for help when the door frame fell on the little boy, and workmen in the house and neighbors rushed to the rescue. Their efforts, however, to revive the child were fruitless. Dr. George Myers was summoned, but the little boy was dead when he arrived. The body was viewed by Dr. K. S. Kight, coroner. The funeral will take place at the residence, 619 Graydon Park, this afternoon at 4:30 o’clock, and will be conducted by Rev. Thomas Waters.
