Mr. Kennedy, a native of Newfoundland, and a former resident of Perth Amboy, N.J., has resided in Norfolk 45 years. A retired United States government employee, he has been employed as an inspector of the water department of the City of Norfolk. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society of that church, Post 38 American Legion and Norfolk Council No. 367, Knights of Columbus. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Robert E. Lee Kennedy, of Washington; four grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Kennedy, of South Amboy, N.J., and Patrick Kennedy, of Red Bank, N.J., and a sister, Mrs. James Rae, of South Amboy, N.J. The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services Saturday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
