Virginian Pilot November 23, 1901

                             MR. A.D. KENT DEAD

Mr. Alonzo D. Kent, aged 60 years, died at his home on Liberty Street yesterday 
morning at 8 o'clock after three weeks' sickness. The deceased was from 
Steamburg, N.Y. and had been a resident of the town about seven years. He was a 
member of Black Hawk Tribe of Red Men in Norfolk. He leaves a widow. The funeral 
services will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, 
Rev. W.A. Christian, pastor of Memorial M.E. Church, officiating.

KENT - At his residence, No. 105 Liberty Street, Berkley, Friday, November 22d, 
1901, at 8 o'clock a.m., ALONZO D. KENT, aged 60 years. 
The funeral will take place THIS (Sunday) AFTERNOON at 2:30 o'clock from the 
residence. Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited to attend. Interment 
in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, Va.
