Virginian-Pilot October 23, 1964
NORFOLK - Edwin Blake Kerns, 37, of 834 Redgate Ave. died in a hospital Thursday 
at 8:30 a.m. after an illness of two days.
He was a native of Norfolk, a son of Howard J. and Mrs. Harriet Blake Kerns.
He was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was a mechanic at 
Norfolk Naval Air Station.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. A. Jay Miltner of South Euclid, Ohio.
A funeral service will be conducted in Cox Funeral Home Saturday at 11 a.m. by the 
Rev. Milton Wright of Christ and St. Luke's Church. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Edward Bray of 123 Elwood Ave.
