Patrick Kerr, age 83 of Main Street Extended, Elizabeth City, NC died Friday, 
January 28, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on 
April 24, 1938 to the late Patrick Kerr and Elizabeth McConnell Kerr and was the 
husband of Pauline ‘Patsy’ Connolly. He was a man of deep faith and great love of 
family. A skilled bricklayer, he worked in construction. He was a member of the 
Knights of Columbus, Trinity Council, Beacon, NY and the founder of the Beacon 
Youth Soccer League.

He is survived by Patsy, his beloved wife of sixty-one years; children, Martin 
Kerr (Dena) of Gibsonia, PA, John Kerr (Mary) of Beacon, NY, Mary Mateer (Sean) of 
Elizabeth City, NC, Patrick Kerr (Debra) of New York, NY, and Kevin Kerr (Dena) of 
Poughkeepsie, NY; grandchildren, Sean, Meghan, Kevin, Kathleen, Johnny, Brianna, 
Tori, Gabrielle, Colin, Christopher, Cameron, Mary Cate, Veronica, James, Conor, 
Jordan, Jenna and Gavin; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Nolan, Blaise, Finnian, 
Grace, Ambrose, Hattie Mae and Lucy; and sisters, Bridget McCleave (Patsy) and 
Mary Morrow (Seamus) both of England. He was preceded in death by his brothers, 
Alexander Kerr and Desmond Kerr.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Holy 
Family Catholic Church, officiated by Father Nick Cottrell. A private burial will 
follow. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909 is 
serving the family of Patrick Kerr. Online memorial condolences may be sent to the 
family at www.TwifordFH.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Holy Masses 
offered and daily prayers for the repose of his soul.
