Virginian-Pilot  December 20, 1932
James Morris Kerr, son of the late James and Louise Gillerlain Kerr, died at 8 
o’clock yesterday morning at the residence, 820 Raleigh avenue. Mr. Kerr was a 
native of Portsmouth and had been a resident of Norfolk for the past 65 years. He 
is survived by one sister, Mrs. J. P. McHugh of Norfolk. Remains will be taken 
from H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-612 East Freemason street, to Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church for services tomorrow morning at 9:30 o’clock. Interment 
will be private in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
