Friday morning, June 14, 1912, at 3 o'clock, ERNEST L. KERSEY, son of George W. and the late Sarah Elizabeth Kersey, aged 29 years. Funeral will be conducted from the funeral apartments of J.R. Williams, Chestnut street, THIS (Saturday) AFTERNOON at 2:30 o'lock. Friends of the family invited to attend. *************************** SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES SUSTAINED IN FALL Ernest L. Kersey, a well known young man, son of George W. Kersey of Campostella Heights, died yesterday morning at 3 o'clock at the Norfolk Protestant Hospital as the result of fatal injuries received in a fall from the colored school building in Berkley, upon which he was working, Wednesday afternoon. It was at first thought that his injuries consisted of a broken leg and a few slight bruises, but internal injuries were discovered later. The deceased was a native of North Carolina, but had been living here for some time. He was 29 years old and unmarried. He was a member of the Welcome Bible Class of Memorial M.E. Church and also of the church. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 5 o'clock, Rev. W.T. Greene officiating. The interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
