NORFOLK - Rogers Moffett (Ruffy) Kessing, 21, of 8153 Creekwood Court, was 
accidentally killed in a fall at Point Arena, Calif., the last weekend.
A native of Long Beach, Calif., he lived here 16 years. He was a son of Oliver 
Owen and Mrs. Dulcene D. Kessing.
He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. A graduate of Norfolk Catholic 
High School, he attended Severna Prep School, Severna Park, Md., and Old 
Dominion University.
Besides his parents, survivors include two sisters, Misses Kathleen Marie 
Kessing and Dulcene Elizabeth Kessing of Norfolk; and five brothers, Douglas 
Lance Kessing of San Diego, Calif., and Oliver Owen Kessing III, Kevin Wilson 
Kessing, Patrick Michael Kessing, and Bailey Douglas Kessing of Norfolk.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Catholic 
Church by the Rev. Francis Xavier Toner. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. 
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Joy Fund.
