Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch September 20, 1934
John Henry Ketner, husband of Nettie Stokes Ketner and son of the late Capt. John 
Henry and Julia Hansell Ketner, died at the residence, 1415 West Princess Anne 
road, yesterday at 8:15 p.m. Mr. Ketner was a native of Atlanta, Ga., and a 
resident of Norfolk for the past 27 years. He was a vestryman of St. Luke's church 
and was an official of the Seaboard Air Line railway.
Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Richard de Zend Ketner, of 
Schenectady, N.Y., and a sister, Mrs. Eula Ketner Hayes, of Washington, D.C.
Funeral services will be held at St. Luke's church Friday at 4 p.m. with Rev. W. 
Taylor Willis, rector, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
