Ketner, of 2036 Lexington Parkway, retired industry sales engineer with General Electric Co. here and a native of Norfolk, died Monday in Ellis Hospital. He retired in 1970 after 41 years of service. He was the husband of Mrs. Mary Reilley Ketner of Schenectady and a son of Mrs. Nettie Stokes Ketner of Norfolk. He was an alumnus of Virginia Military Institute, graduating with a bachelor's degree in engineering. He had been active in civic and cultural life of Schenectady and was a past president of the Schenectady Boys Club. Besides his widow and mother, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Theo S. Garnett of Drexel Hill, Pa., and Mrs. Earl Robinson of Schwäbisch-Gmünd, Germany; and six grandchildren. After a service here in St. George's Church, the body was sent by Baxter Funeral Home to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, for a funeral today at 10 a.m. at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. A. Heath Light of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Ellis Hospital educational fund for cancer research or to the VMI educational fund.
