New Journal and Guide, May 6, 1967

NORFOLK - A funeral arranged by Graves Funeral Home, will be conducted Saturday 
at 1:30 p.m. in New Calvary Baptist Church for Mrs. Elizabeth O. Kettrell, 54. 
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Ketrell, who resided at 970 St. Julian avenue, was a self-employed 
beautician. The Elizabeth City, N.C., native died April 30 in her home. She was 
the wife of Alexander Kettrell and a daughter of the late Newton Griffin and 
Mrs. Roxey G. Brothers.

The deceased was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church and president of its 
Campbell Social Workers Missionary Circle.

Also surviving are a brother, Askew Brothers; and five sisters, Mrs. Pearl 
Lewis, Mrs. Roxey Fields, Mrs. Mary Eason, Mrs. Lillie Platt and Mrs. Alberta 
Clark of Norfolk.
