Kevill, of this city, had been brought home from Memphis, Tenn., suffering from malarial fever. It is now the painful duty of The Landmark to chronicle his death, which occurred last night at 9 o'clock, at the residence of his mother, No. 241 Freemason Street. Mr. Kevill was a printer by trade, and in the craft, as well as in a large circle of private citizens, he was much admired for the many sterling traits which he possessed. The notice of his funeral will appear hereafter. ************************************************************************* The funeral of the late Thomas Kevill took place from St. Mary’s Catholic Church yesterday morning at 9 o’clock and was attended by a large number of friends of the deceased and the Typographical Union, of which he was a member. The services, including a requiem mass, were conducted by Rev. Father Doherty, assisted by Rev. Father Hanley, after which the remains were borne to the Catholic Cemetery and interred. Pall bearers: Printers - A. B. Rawlett and John Dashield. Citizens - J. M. Callinan, W. B. Langley, Joseph Porter, P. J. Murray, Gordon DeCordy and W. T. Anderson. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.
