His skull was crushed and he died almost instantly. He was from Camden County, N.C. and boarded on Water Street, but his remains had not been brought in up to a late hour last night. ******************************************************************************* Burial of Alonzo Kight The body of Alonzo Kight, who was killed by falling from the Lambert's Point coal pier, as stated in this paper Sunday, was brought to Norfolk at 6:30 p.m. on the cars after the coroner's inquest and given in charge of Mr. Hall, undertaker, who buried the body at Elmwood Cemetery. The Norfolk and Western Railroad Company, which is not neglectful in caring for those who are killed or injured in its service, made the earliest possible arrangement to give the unfortunate man decent burial. An officer of that corporation assures us he was entirely worthy of it.
