Kiley, 81, of the 7300 block Glenroie Ave., died March 5, 2002, in a local hospital. Mr. Kiley was born in Portsmouth and was the son of the late Daniel S. and Rose Sullivan Kiley. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk. Mr. Kiley was a graduate St. Joseph Academy and the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary. He began his career with the Virginia Railway and retired as vice president of Taxation for the Norfolk Southern Railroad in 1982. He was a member of the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club and was a former member of the Capitol Hill Club, Washington, D.C., the National Association of Accountants Tax Policy Committee, Association of American Railroads, former member of Taxation Committee of the United States Chamber of Commerce, American Accounting Association, National Tax Association, Tax Institute of America, Board of Directors and Executive Committee-the Planning Council-Human Services Planning and Development, and former member of Board of DePaul Hospital. He was a past president of the Virginia Credit Union Association and formerly on the board of the National Credit Union, and was instrumental in forming numerous local credit unions including the Norfolk News Papers. Survivors include his wife, Anne Miller Dashiell Kiley; five daughters, Peggy Kiley Dillon and her husband, Glenn of Lynchburg, Va., Cecelia Kiley Graham and her husband, James of Whiteville, N.C., Patricia Kiley VanMalssen and her husband, Mark of Midlothian, Va., Mary Kiley McMenamin and her husband, David of Melrose, Mass., Barbara Kiley Green and her husband, Nathaniel of Norfolk; a son, Daniel L. Kiley Jr. and his wife, Victoria of Midlothian; two sisters, Mary Rose Murphy of Crofton, Md., Catherine Aldworph and her husband, Jim of Hilton Head, S.C., a brother, Charles S. Kiley and his wife, Helen Anne of Virginia Beach; and 14 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Joseph H. Metzger III. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children, the CANDII House, or charity of choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
