Norfolk - Mrs. Mary Helena King of 2908 Virginia Beach boulevard, died recently 
in a hospital after a long illness.  A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of 
the late Mose and Mrs. Rebecca L. Capps and the wife of Emmett M. King.  She was 
a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Besides her husband, surviving are two sons, Dr. John W. King of Norfolk and 
Robert L. King of Washington;  a daughter, Mrs. Mary Helena Payton, and two 
brothers, Dr. John W. Capps and Theodore Capps, all of Norfolk;  a sister, Mrs. 
Sarah Warren of New York;  and five grandchildren.

A funeral service  was held Thursday, March 9, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church by 
the Rev. Harold Gregory.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
