Norfolk Virginian February 20, 1883
The funeral of the late Mrs. Emma King, wife of Mr. George W. King, took place 
Sunday afternoon from the residence of her husband on Dinwiddie street and was 
very largely attended by the friends and relatives of the deceased. The services 
were conducted by the Rev. A. E. Owen, pastor of the Court Street Baptist Church, 
and the following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: F. P. Jarvis, Virginius Mathews, 
Edward Anderton, B. Frank Vaughn, R. B. Burroughs and Virginius Powers. The 
remains were conveyed to Norfolk for interment.
