Virginian-Pilot June 20, 1981
NORFOLK — Mrs. Janie King of 824 E. Olney Road, a native of Bertie County, N.C., 
and the wife of Andrew King, died Monday in a hospital.
She was retired from J.H. Myers Oyster Co. and was a member of Piney Grove 
Freewill Baptist Church, Craven County, N.C.
Other survivors include two half sisters, Mrs. Cinderella Brown and Mrs. Lucy 
Harrell of Norfolk.
A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Graves Funeral Chapel by the Rev. J. 
L. Kearney. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will assemble at her 
home.
