Mattie E. King of 2509 Jamaica Ave., a native of Southampton County and the 
widow of John King, died Sunday in a hospital.

Mrs. King had retired from Ballard Oyster Co. after 15 years. She was a member 
of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Hobbs of Norfolk; a sister, Betty Z Coffer 
of Littleton, N.C.; a grandchild; and five great-granchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Graves Funeral Home. Burial 
will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will meet at the residence.
