Sallie V. King

NORFOLK - Sallie Veronica King of the 1000 block of Dubose Drive, died July 25,
2002, at Norfolk Health Care.

Born in the Myrtle section of Suffolk, she was a homemaker and a member of
Basilica of St. Mary Church of The Immaculate Conception, Knights of Peter
Claver and was a volunteer for the soup kitchen.

She is survived by five nieces, Mary A. Merritt of Chantilly, Va., Evelyn
Johnson of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Ann M. Alston of Herndon, Va., Sandra L. Madison
of Sterling, Va., Sylvia Madison of Norfolk; a special niece, Margie Wallace and
husband Marvin of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held Tuesday at noon at Basilica of St. Mary of The Immaculate
Conception by Father Dorgan. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The remains
will be ready for viewing Monday from 3:30 to 8 p.m. The family will assemble at
her home at 11 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk
chapel, is in charge.
