Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, September 20, 2009 
PORTSMOUTH - Thelmon Alton King of Portsmouth, the beloved husband of the late
Rosa Melton King, entered into rest Sept. 11, 2009.

Four children survive him: Frances Woody, Melvin Melton Sr., Elmyria Wilder and
Melvine Wells. He had 11 grandchildren: Melvin Melton Jr., Timothy Melton, Maria
Melton, Theresa Melton, Marvin Melton, Andre Melton, Donna Woody, Lynn Woody,
Monica Wells, LaMont Wells Jr. and Lisa Wells; nine great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at First Baptist Church, Bute Street, in Norfolk at 11 a.m.
Wednesday. Hale Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
