Funeral services for Bernard J. King, former city sergeant and prominent in Norfolk business and fraternal life, who died Sunday, were conducted yesterday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Richard Rivard. Present in the sanctuary were the Rev. Edward W. Johnston, the Rev. M. J. Harrison, the Rev. John J. Meehan, the Rev. B. J. McKenna, the Rev. Lloyd D. Brown and the Rev. Joseph A. McAndrews. Pallbearers were W. H. Lauder, Clinton J. Curtis, Frank J. Spicuzza, J. B. Lascara, W. M. Walsh, Judge J. Hume Taylor, C. E. Wright and M. R. Broudy. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
