Virginian-Pilot February 21 & 22, 1899
KING – On Sunday, February 19th, 1899, at 11 o’clock p.m., MINNIE, wife of W. B. 
King, aged 42 years.
The funeral will take place from the residence, No. 532 Church street, THIS 
(Tuesday) AFTERNOON at 2:30 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to 
attend.

The funeral of Mrs. Minnie King, wife of Mr. W. B. King, who passed away from 
earth at her home on Sunday night, was held from the residence, No. 532 Church 
street, at 2:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon. Rev. Father Doherty, of St. Mary’s 
Catholic Church, conducted the service. The interment was in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Messrs. P. J. Bean, J. M. Lorring, J. 
M. Sowell, Martin Gallagher, George W. Leslie, C. K. Kegebein, H. Taylor, Joseph 
Willoughby.
