Mrs. Ruth Parr King, 53, former resident of Norfolk, died in Boston, Mass., 
yesterday at 6:05 a.m. after a long illness,
She was a native of Norfolk and had resided here until 13 years ago. She was the 
daughter of the late James E. Parr and Mrs. Frances Simpson Parr.
Mrs. King is survived by three sons, Joseph E. Porter, New York; Francis M. 
Roberts and Daniel D. Roberts, both of Pensacola, Fla.; and three grandchildren; 
four sisters, Mrs. E. F. Seltzer, Mrs. M. L. Smith, Mrs. Janie C. Bartol and 
Mrs. Annie Mae Miexel, all of Norfolk; seven brothers, Claude J. Parr, William 
J. Parr, George W. Parr, Edwin T. Parr and Lawrence F. Parr, of Norfolk; Thomas 
G. Parr, of Richmond, and Daniel S. Parr, of Boston,
The body will be brought to the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Ruth Parr King - Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Parr King, who died in a 
Boston hospital, will be conducted in the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel Saturday 
at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
