The Norfolk Landmark Wednesday October 5, 1898  

The funeral services of Mr. J.T. King, who died Monday at his residence, on Main 
Street, took place yesterday at 3 p.m. at the grave in Magnolia Cemetery. Rev. 
M.W. Butler officiated. Chesapeake Tribe No. 50 I.O.R.M., of which he was a 
member, attended in a body. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs. 
William Brown, George Funk, F. Gilbert, J.C. Wright, George Parker and N.B. 
Langley.
