Norfolk - Clinton King Sr., 88, of 1719 Elmwood Ave. died Wednesday morning 
in a hospital after a short illness.
  A native of New Bern NC, he was a son of Jobe and Mrs. Hettie King and the 
husband of Mrs. Betty King.
  He was a retired longshoreman of Local 1248.
  Besides his widow, surviving are a son, Clinton King Jr., and six 
daughters, Judith King, Louise King, Brenda King, Melissa King, Carolyn 
King, and Mrs. Rosette Kornegay, all of Norfolk;  three brothers, Nathaniel 
King of Newport News and Rufus King and Felton King of Norfolk;  and two 
sisters, Mrs. Annie Bess of Norfolk and Mrs. Lillie Mae Davis of Cape 
Charles.
  A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Graves Funeral 
Chapel.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
